Site Production Manager
Trafford Park, Manchester
£50,000 per annum
Monday to Friday, 44 hours per week.
Your Role
We have a fantastic opportunity to join our client's prestigious bodybuilder brand as a Site Production Manager at their factory in Manchester. If you want to work for a company which has been in the industry for more than 35 years, are fully qualified in your profession, this the role for you.
As the Site Production Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the smooth operation of the production site. You will be responsible for managing the daily workflow, ensuring that all production targets are met while upholding the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. Your expertise in lean manufacturing, workflow management, and materials control will drive continuous improvement across the site.
You will also be instrumental in setting up and managing the production facility to become established, ensuring alignment with business objectives. With a strong focus on communication and team development, you will mentor and support your team, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence. Additionally, you will work closely with key stakeholders to manage risks, optimise processes, and implement improvements to deliver results.
---------Day to day you will:
• Oversee the daily workflow, ensuring production schedules and targets are met.
• Ensure full compliance with shop floor policies, safety procedures, and quality standards.
• Manage materials control, ensuring availability of resources for uninterrupted production.
• Implement and monitor 5S principles to maintain a clean and efficient workplace.
• Lead lean manufacturing initiatives to drive continuous improvement and reduce waste.
• Identify potential challenges before they occur and take proactive steps to mitigate risks.
• Oversee all aspects of people leadership, including recruitment, performance reviews, training, development ensuring a motivated and high-performing workforce across the site. Conduct performance reviews and provide coaching to team members to enhance their skills and productivity.
• Communicate regularly with stakeholders to provide updates on safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
• Ensure accurate logging of production hours and attendance.
• Participate in meetings to discuss progress, KPIs, and business improvement opportunities.
