About the Role
We are looking for a compassionate Healthcare Assistant to support a young male with Severe Recessive Dystrophic Epidermolysis Bullosa (RDEB). This rare condition requires a high level of clinical awareness and a gentle, "hands‑off" approach to protect the service user's fragile skin.
Key Responsibilities
* Nutritional Support: Managing all intake via Gastrostomy (PEG) feeding.
* Clinical Care: Administering nebulisers and assisting with specialized wound care and daily dressing changes.
* Environment Monitoring: Ensuring a cool environment (below 15°C) to manage skin irritation and monitoring for new blisters.
Requirements
* Outcoming, bubbly personality with a commitment to high‑quality support.
* A minimum of 6 months of professional UK Care experience.
* Previous experience with PEG feeding and Medication Administration is highly preferred.
* Willingness to learn specialised skin integrity protocols.
* Valid Right to Work and original DBS certificate.
