Your Role
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Junior Analyst to join Stockport Council’s Award winning (Digital Impact, LGA Awards 2022 ) Business Intelligence Team.
This role is based in our Business Intelligence Analytics team, which is responsible for Analytics and Insight for Stockport Council.
You will be supporting Children’s Services, which includes Early Help, Children’s Social Care and Youth Justice, in decision making and improving outcomes for Stockport’s children and families. You will be responsible for producing business as usual reports, providing key data insights and analysis, building and maintaining Tableau dashboards and helping the service meet statutory return obligations
You will work alongside other analysts in our Children’s BI Team and attend meetings with the wider Children’s services where you will be able to see how the data you provide is used to support children and families across Stockport.
About You
We are looking for candidates with an interest and background in Analytics, able to understand and interpret complex data. You will be an experienced user of Excel and are confident working with SQL, experience of working with Tableau would be advantageous but not essential.
You will have excellent communication and organisations skills, able to work flexibly and as part of a team with an enthusiasm to learn and develop new skills.
Experience of working within or supporting Children’s Social Care or Youth Justice Services would be advantageous but not essential.
