TLP Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Transport Co-Ordinator to join a well-established logistics and distribution operation based in the South West on a 12-month temporary contract, with the opportunity to go permanent.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong planning and organisational skills to join a busy transport team and potentially secure a long-term position.

The Role
* Planning and scheduling deliveries to meet customer demand
* Managing vehicle routes to maximise efficiency and utilisation
* Working closely with drivers, external hauliers and agencies
* Handling re-deliveries and resolving service-related issues
* Monitoring transport costs and maintaining accurate records
* Managing returnable packaging and stock levels
* Processing driver payroll information and ensuring documentation is prepared
* Communicating daily with drivers and internal teams regarding delivery updates
* Investigating and signing off transport-related issues or complaints
What do we need from you?
* Previous experience in transport planning or logistics coordination
* Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
* Confident communicator, able to liaise with drivers, customers and internal teams
* Good attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
* Good IT skills (including spreadsheets and transport systems)
* Understanding of driver hours, compliance and transport operations (preferred)
* Positive, team-focused attitude
