Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer
Location: Manchester
Salary: £50,000 - £52,000 DOE
Shift Pattern: 3 Shift Pattern, No Weekends
About the Role
My client is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their dynamic team at a leading manufacturing facility. This role requires a hands‑on approach, ensuring all equipment and machinery operate at peak efficiency. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, optimise, and troubleshoot 3‑phase motor control systems, including start/stop, variable speed, and directional control using both AC and DC inverter drives.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues promptly and accurately.
- Execute repairs and modifications to improve equipment reliability and performance.
- Collaborate with the production team to minimise downtime and enhance productivity.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and update documentation as required.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a multi‑skilled maintenance role within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and a proactive approach to problem‑solving.
- Minimum NVQ Level 3 either Electrical / Mechanical or equivalent.
