About The Role
As the financial policy and governance manager within the finance directorate, you will drive continuous improvement and support our strategic aims. You will develop and maintain a robust financial policy and governance framework, aligning with government best practices and enhancing financial control and accountability across the organisation. Your role includes managing an effective service for handling queries and requests for advice and training, driving continuous improvement in financial policy and governance, and supporting accounting officers and budget holders.
About You
We’re looking for someone with strong written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex and technical policies into easy-to-understand guidance. Strong organisational skills, with the ability to coordinate and manage the development and maintenance of a range of policies and materials, are essential. Experience in managing and implementing changes to financial policy and governance frameworks is desirable, but not required.
