Urchfont Primary School - One to One Teaching Assistant

Urchfont Primary is a thriving village school situated in the beautiful village of Urchfont, near Devizes, Wiltshire. The school is at the heart of a vibrant community, with a highly committed staff and a dedicated governing body. As part of the Salisbury Diocese, we maintain active links with the church.

The school is in the process of joining the EQUA-Mead Learning Trust, with the transfer expected to be completed by September 2025.


About the role:

We are seeking a One to One Teaching Assistant to join our staff team at Urchfont CE Primary School as soon as possible. While this position is primarily associated with supporting a specific pupil, you may be required to work with any pupil within the school at any time.


Candidate requirements:

* Flexibility and ability to work collaboratively with other staff members
* Excellent communication skills and a commitment to being part of an effective school community team
* Patience and understanding when working with children
* Self-motivation and reliability
* Strong behaviour management skills
* Willingness to undertake training
* Enthusiasm and a good sense of humour

Ideally, candidates will have some experience working with pupils with complex needs, but training will be provided if not.
