About the Business Unit
Mott MacDonald’s Advisory and Programme Delivery (APD) unit delivers project, programme and commercial management (PPCM) services and advisory solutions across the built environment, defence, energy, water, environmental, transportation, health and care sectors. We deliver tailored solutions that directly address our clients’ key challenges, combining our world‑leading project expertise with unrivalled programme delivery capabilities and advisory services. APD delivers services to projects ranging in scale and complexity up to £20bn, through the technical disciplines of programme management, project management, project controls, scheduling, cost management, estimating, infrastructure finance, management consulting, digital consulting and education, health and care management.
Overview of the Role
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Digital Consultant to join our team. The candidate will work within the Asset, Data and Information team, alongside members with capabilities in Information Management, Asset Management, Data Strategy and Digital Twin Strategy. The team has recently worked on major UK infrastructure projects such as the New Hospitals Programme, Sizewell C and the Anglian Water Reservoirs Programme. The ideal candidate will have experience in the use of BIM, information management, project delivery and client communication.
This role involves actively participating in discovery workshops, developing IM project delivery programmes, and forming BIM/IM strategy. The consultant will also be responsible for conducting gap analyses and identifying systems, processes and workflows that support digital implementation and handover.
Candidate Specification
Essential
* High knowledge of information management standards (BS EN ISO 19650) and protocols
* Proven experience utilising BIM for information management and project delivery
* Experience utilising common data environments for programme and project information management
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients and stakeholders
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and support colleagues as needed
* Strong business analysis and problem‑solving skills to develop and deliver tailored solutions for organisations
Desirable
* Experience working on Major UK Infrastructure Programmes
* Development of client‑specific ISO 19650‑aligned documents such as OIR, AIR, PIR and EIRs
* Developing information management tools such as TIDPs, MIDPs and BEPs
* Perform project management activities, including planning, scheduling and monitoring project progress
* Knowledge of metadata management and information classification
