Are you an experienced, values-led leader with a passion for high quality, compassionate crisis care?

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Band 7 Team Manager to provide operational leadership to the Chesterfield Crisis Team on a 5-month secondment basis.

This is a pivotal role, responsible for ensuring safe, effective and responsive service delivery, supporting staff wellbeing and development and driving quality and performance in a fast-paced, complex environment.

The role is time‑limited and will focus on stabilising service delivery, providing visible leadership and supporting the team through a defined period.

Please note that you must seek prior approval form your current line manager before applying for this secondment post.

Main duties of the job

1. Provide day‑to‑day operational leadership of the Chesterfield Crisis Team, ensuring safe and responsive service delivery.
2. Maintain oversight of demand, capacity, rotas and escalation processes within the crisis pathway.
3. Act as a senior operational decision‑maker, including management of complex and high‑risk situations.
4. Line manage staff, providing regular management supervision, performance support and wellbeing oversight.
5. Ensure compliance with Trust policies, clinical governance requirements and safe systems of work.
6. Oversee incident reporting, risk management and learning through Datix and other governance processes.
7. Work collaboratively with senior leaders and partner services to support effective crisis pathways.
8. Provide stability, leadership and continuity for the service during the 5‑month secondment period.
