Business Development & Account Manager – Upstream Engineering & Consultancy Services (Newcastle / Aberdeen, UK)
To strengthen our global upstream presence, we are recruiting a Business Development & Account Manager with a strong focus on Upstream Oil & Gas. This role combines strategic business development with hands‑on sales management, driving growth across our consultancy and integrity services portfolio while identifying opportunities for the wider ROSEN Group.
Reporting to the Head of Commercial for Extended Integrity – ECA Region, the role carries a global remit, acting as a key market insight lead for upstream, ensuring strategic decisions, portfolio direction, and customer engagement are grounded in a deep understanding of upstream operator needs, global market dynamics, and emerging industry challenges.
Roles and Responsibilities
* Drive global business development for upstream consultancy and integrity services, generating and shaping opportunities that contribute to sustainable revenue growth.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with upstream operators, NOCs, IOCs, and key industry partners.
* Act as the strategic customer insight lead, translating operator challenges into clearly defined E&C opportunities and influencing portfolio direction.
* Support and collaborate with regional sales managers to achieve revenue targets and expand ROSEN’s market footprint.
* Lead opportunity forecasting and pipeline management, ensuring accurate visibility of market potential, customer demand, and revenue outlook.
* Develop and implement BD strategies that enhance market penetration, strengthen brand presence, and position ROSEN as a trusted upstream integrity partner.
* Provide and support quotations, proposals and tender submissions, ensuring technical and commercial alignment with customer requirements.
* Represent ROSEN throughout the full sales cycle, from early engagement to contract award and after‑sales support.
* Generate market intelligence, including competitive analysis, regulatory developments, and upstream industry trends.
* Participate in global industry events, conferences and customer workshops, promoting ROSEN’s capabilities and thought leadership.
* Present consultancy and integrity services to clients when required, working closely with technical experts to articulate value.
Requirements
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, Economics or a related discipline; relevant industry qualifications are advantageous.
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in Business Development, Sales, Strategy or customer‑facing roles within the upstream oil & gas sector.
* Strong understanding of asset integrity management, engineering consultancy and upstream operational challenges.
* Demonstrated ability to interpret market dynamics, customer value logic and competitive landscapes.
* Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage confidently at all organisational levels.
* Self‑motivated, proactive and able to operate effectively in complex, fast‑moving environments.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate across global teams.
* Willingness and ability to travel nationally and internationally as required.
* Working knowledge of pipeline inspection, integrity assessment or related technologies is beneficial.
