The postholder will be responsible for the co-ordination of all patient equipment and supplies in the department area and ensuring a clean, safe and comfortable environment.
·They will work independently but as an integral part of the A&E team and will be required to work closely with contractors and support service departments ensuring the delivery of stocks, equipment and minor maintenance.
·He/she will monitor quality standards, report deficiencies and take appropriate action.
·They will have systems for accurate record keeping; this will include the maintenance of documentation and inputting of data.
Main duties of the job

·To be flexible in working practices to meet the needs of the service.
1. Patient / client care (both direct & indirect)
·To monitor all equipment in the department against agreed standards and policy including specialist equipment.
·Be responsible for utilising the computer order system to ensure adequate stock in the department, and be responsible for raising orders when required for new equipment
·Independently take appropriate action to deal with any repairs to equipment that is required.
·In conjunction with the multi professional teams
