Responsibilities
* Own the technical close process across multiple GAAPs, ensuring timely and accurate capture of financial information.
* Deliver accurate, timely management and financial information in compliance with IFRS and local reporting requirements.
* Produce monthly and quarterly Management Metrics Reports (MMRs).
* Perform monthly and quarterly financial reviews of technical results, including variance analysis versus plan and prior year.
* Own and explain technical results for, including identification and investigation of unusual in‑month movements.
* Prepare currency balance sheets as required.
* Produce country‑by‑country financial analysis for Group reporting.
Qualifications
Qualified Accountant with relevant insurance experience required.
Required Skills
* Strong Insurance Technical Knowledge.
* Has led or played a significant role in the technical close of a general insurer (both live and run off scenarios).
* Good analytical and MI reporting skills.
* Ability to apply process improvement.
* Should have ability to manage communication with stakeholders/external auditors and to co-ordinate tasks between internal teams.
* Advanced Excel skills.
* High degree of organisation, task planning and time management.
* Familiar & capable of working with internal/external reporting deadlines inline with regulatory requirements.
