Clinical CAMHS Social Worker

An experienced Social Worker who has worked with young people and their families in CAMHS and is interested in this role is sought. Candidates with Crisis and/or Home Treatment experience will be prioritised.
We want a Social Worker who is committed to creative engagement with a culturally diverse population of young people, who shows initiative, is a team player, and can communicate ideas clearly to professionals and young people alike. Demonstrated knowledge, competence, and interest in working with children presenting with complex mental health needs is essential. The role also requires flexibility and the necessary skills and experience to provide high‑quality, evidence‑based, client‑focused care.
The successful applicant will work alongside other social workers in the team, hold an individual caseload and will be involved in the comprehensive assessment of children and young people with mental health needs (including risk assessment and the development of risk management plans) who present in crisis to CAMHT services, hospitals and sites covered by the Alliance Crisis Care.
They will provide direct work to families and young people, assist the CAMHS and/or paediatrics team with treatment planning and provide consultation to families/carers and other professionals involved in the life of the young person.
The role will also involve delivering specialist mental health services to children and young people and their families and carers across the West London NHS Trust 3 Boroughs CAMH Service and crisis pathway, including brief interventions and outreach work to prevent admission to Child and Adolescent Mental Health Units.
