About the vacancy
We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, enthusiastic and well-qualified Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages to join our successful and forward‑thinking Languages Department. The successful candidate will be an excellent classroom practitioner with the ability to teach across the full ability range at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. Applicants should be able to teach French and/or Spanish to GCSE level, and ideally both languages at Key Stage 3. Our Languages Department is a thriving and ambitious team that offers French and Spanish at GCSE and A-level, alongside opportunities for learners to gain qualifications in their home languages. We aim to provide engaging, inclusive and challenging learning experiences that develop learners as ambitious, capable individuals and ethically informed citizens.
We are looking for a teacher who:

* Is willing to contribute to the ongoing development of the AoLE
* Is eager to play a full role in the wider life of the school community
DBS level: An Enhanced with Barred List Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check will be requested for this job. It is an offence to apply for the role if the applicant is barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children or adults at risk.
Welsh language level - verbal Level 1 – you will need a basic knowledge of Welsh. Reasonable support can be provided on appointment to reach this level.
