QA/QC Engineer

Role Purpose
Building up and updating ISO 9001 MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
Communicating with each section member and consultant
Key Accountabilities
* Promoting certification acquisition together with ISO9001 consultant
* Preparation and compilation of company quality documents
* Company calibration management and operation
* Planning and management of quality-related events
* Creation of quality policy
* Creation, goal setting, and management of quality KPIs
* Preparation and maintenance of quality manuals
* Management of documents in the QA department
* Material supplier management and audit operations
* Management of plans and progress of each department based on quality policy
* Planning and operation of internal quality audits
* Planning and management of management reviews
* Regular production line audit
* Various responses to process defects
* Planning and operation of customer satisfaction surveys
* Confirm shipping approval evidence
* Customer audit response
Preferred Knowledge / Skills / Experience
* Experience in the field of HV and EHV power cable tests
* Familiarity with electrical and power cable test instruments
* Knowledge of manufacturing of EH & EHV power cables
* Ability to organize testing plans and procedures
* Knowledge of international standards concerning cables
* Experience in managing ISO9001 related events
* Supplier audit experience
* Experience in equipment calibration, asset, and maintenance management
About our project in Port of Nigg, Highland
Sumitomo Electric is a leading global manufacturer of high-end electricity transmission cables, up to 525kV HVDC. The new factory at Nigg, with an investment of £350M, aims to contribute to the UK Net Zero Target by supporting renewable energy transmission, including offshore wind. It will create over 150 skilled jobs and utilize local supply chains for cable production and construction.
The subsea transmission cable factory will supply critical components for reinforcing the UK electricity grid and connecting renewable energy facilities.
