Job overview
The post holder will be responsible for the delivery of the ECT service across the boroughs. The postholder will provide clinical advice to professional colleagues, lead, teach, supervise, and support junior colleagues. They will develop the service, ensure it meets quality and safety standards, and lead evaluation, research, and accreditation efforts Trustwide.
Main duties of the job
* Develop, provide, and maintain high standards of nursing care for patients undergoing electro-convulsive therapy (ECT).
* Direct and oversee the provision of ECT services in the boroughs, ensuring safety and legal compliance.
* Provide expert guidance on pre- and post-care of ECT patients.
* Supervise and appraise staff supporting ECT delivery.
* Drive evidence-based practice development within the unit.
* Ensure equipment is maintained, protocols are drawn up, and records are kept.
* Maintain stock control of drugs and medical supplies.
* Provide clinical leadership for ECT clinics alongside multidisciplinary teams.
* Assess care needs and develop, implement, and evaluate care plans.
