Due to expansion, People for Places Recruitment is currently recruiting for temporary SEN Support Workers to undertake agency assignments in SEN and mainstream schools, supporting children and young adults in a classroom setting. We cover Berkshire and parts of the surrounding counties.\nDuties will include assisting children during lessons on a 1:1 basis; ensuring their safety and wellbeing at all times; supporting them with their activities at break times; working alongside teachers and other professionals to ensure that special educational needs are met; managing complex behaviours; encouraging children to develop and improve their social skills and learn to demonstrate a positive behaviour…\nRequirements:\nPrevious experience of supporting children or young adults in a residential or educational setting.\nExperience in any of the following : Autistic Spectrum Disorder, Learning Disabilities, ADHD,ADD, Mental Health and Challenging Behaviour.\nKnowledge in the areas of Educational and Behavioural Disorder in Children, Mental wellbeing in Children, Safeguarding of Children.\nExperience in 1:1 support and the ability to manage own workload.\nNVQ qualification in Children and Young People is an advantage.\nOutgoing, positive attitude, empathy and passion to make a difference to children’s lives.\nBeing an agency worker, travelling to various assignments it would be desirable to have a driving licence and access to a car.\nIn return we offer competitive rates; 2-weekly payroll; holiday pay; auto enrolment pension contribution; training and support with personal development; friendly office staff to deal with any queries you have.\nWe are and equal opportunities employer, run by people who care.\nCome and join us
