Job Summary
We are looking for a caring, reliable and enthusiastic Nursery Lunch Assistant to join our team.
This is a key role within our nursery day. You will support children and staff during the busy lunchtime period, helping to ensure children are safe, happy and well cared for while promoting positive mealtime experiences.
The role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with young children and being part of a supportive, professional team.
Key Responsibilities
* Supporting children during lunch, encouraging healthy eating and good table manners
* Supervising children in the dining area to ensure their safety and wellbeing
* Assisting staff with setting up and clearing away lunch areas
* Cleaning and tidying tables, floors and equipment after meals
* Supporting with washing up and general kitchen/dining room organisation
* Engaging with children through play and conversation before and after lunch
* Supporting smooth transitions between lunchtime and afternoon activities
* Following all nursery policies, including safeguarding, hygiene and health & safety

Experience working in a nursery or childcare environment is helpful but not essential — full support and guidance will be provided.

Pay: £7.55-£12.21 per hour
