Overview
We are looking for a pharmacist ready to take the next step in their career as a specialist rotational pharmacist at The Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital Pharmacy Department, which is a large forward thinking team highly regarded within the Trust. This can be offered as a progressional Band 6 to 7 post if you do not fully meet the specification for the band 7 post.
We have strong links to the School of Pharmacy at the nearby University of East Anglia, with innovative placement programmes for pharmacy students. Electronic prescribing and medicines administration has been implemented across all inpatient wards, the A&E and outpatients. We are at the forefront of healthcare delivery with a strong focus on Medicines Management and innovative pharmaceutical practice. We are about to embark on a department development and modernisation programme which makes this an exciting time to join the pharmacy team!

Responsibilities
* Join a team of Rotational Specialist Pharmacists and work as part of our ward-based pharmacy service, alongside the MDT including specialist and highly specialist pharmacists.
* Work across medicine and surgery specialties as part of the specialist rotational team and have opportunities to work in other pharmacy services.
* Take an active role in the pharmaceutical care of a range of conditions and advise clinicians.
* Participate in MDT ward rounds and prescribe medicines to ensure a seamless transfer of care.
* Work as part of a team and autonomously. Prescribing is a key part of the role and you will be supported to undertake the training if you do not already hold the qualification.
