BI & Performance Reporting Developer

Location: Hybrid working, home & UK travel, as & when required (1-2 times per quarter)

About the role
Join us to build data‑driven insight across cinch’s technology function, ensuring trends, metrics and KPIs are available to stakeholders to enable informed decisions. You’ll design, develop and maintain BI solutions using Power BI, work with the Data Warehouse and collaborate with stakeholders.
Responsibilities
* Design and develop BI solutions (reports, dashboards, apps, shared semantic models, etc.) using Power BI.
* Maintain, monitor and optimise BI solutions to ensure credibility and integrity, acting on bug fixes and cost/time‑saving opportunities.
* Build and uphold consistent data models within the Data Warehouse, applying agreed business logic to complex data sources.
* Build strong relationships with stakeholders to deliver BI & performance reporting aligned with requirements.
* Support non‑technical colleagues with information, guidance and training to use BI solutions.
* Identify opportunities to improve productivity by automating manual data processes.
* Review the strategic platform positioning to keep BI solutions valuable, available and empowering.
* Review output of own and peers’ work for quality, best‑practice adherence and on‑time delivery.
* Coach, mentor and gate‑keep BI development from colleagues outside the team.
* Undertake root‑cause analysis and recommend mitigation for service issues.
* Advocate for BI & data‑driven decision making across cinch.
* Stay abreast of industry trends and share knowledge for continuous improvement.
Requirements
* At least 3+ years of BI/MI development experience.
* Hands‑on experience building automated reports, dashboards, apps and shared semantic models using Power BI (or similar).
* Strong SQL skills required for modelling and querying from the Data Warehouse.
* Effective stakeholder management and relationship building with seniority.
* Ability to proactively manage time and prioritise workloads.
* Self‑starter who solves problems with minimal supervision; works independently and in cross‑functional teams.
* Attention to detail and thorough testing of outputs.
Nice to Have
* Automotive market knowledge.
* Experience with Snowflake & dbt for data modelling.
* Experience using JIRA or other workload management tools.
* Knowledge of data warehousing best practice.
* Experience in Agile/Sprint/Kanban and team ceremonies.
