Role Overview The Wild Duck is seeking a passionate and experienced Head Bartender to lead our bar operations and help deliver an outstanding drinks experience for our guests. Working closely with the management team, you will oversee the day-to-day running of the bar, maintain exceptional service standards, and play a key role in shaping a drinks offering that complements our seasonal food and welcoming pub atmosphere. Key Responsibilities Lead the daily operations of the bar, ensuring efficient and professional service. Prepare and serve a wide range of drinks, including cocktails, wines, beers, and spirits to a high standard. Train, support, and motivate bar staff to maintain excellent service and product knowledge. Help develop and maintain a creative and well-balanced drinks menu. Manage stock control, ordering, and supplier relationships for bar products. Ensure responsible alcohol service and adherence to licensing regulations. Maintain a clean, organised, and well-presented bar environment. Work closely with the wider front-of-house and kitchen teams to deliver a seamless guest experience. About You We’re looking for someone who: Has strong experience as a bartender or bar supervisor within a quality pub, restaurant, or hotel environment. Demonstrates excellent knowledge of cocktails, spirits, beers, and wines. Has natural leadership skills and enjoys developing and supporting a team. Is passionate about hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences. Is organised, reliable, and thrives in a fast-paced service environment. Has a keen eye for detail and takes pride in maintaining high standards behind the bar.
