This is a wonderful opportunity to join my client, a trusted, highly-regarded Multidisciplinary Consultancy renowned for lending their expertise to projects across the civil engineering and drainage landscapes. They are currently on the lookout for a driven, capable Graduate Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer who is willing to take on a challenging array of projects across a variety of sectors, based in the vibrant, family-friendly city of Brighton.

Responsibilities for the role of Graduate Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer include:
6. Contributing to projects across the public and private sectors, including residential and commercial developments, sports venues, schools, etc.
7. Producing technical documents, inducing Flood Risk Assessments (FRA) and Flood Estimation Reports
8. Designing Drainage Strategies, including Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS)
9. Using software such as MicroDrainage and AutoCAD to produce work
Required skills and experience for the role of Graduate Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer include:
10. A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Hydrology, Geography, etc.
11. Good knowledge of Flood Risk Assessments, Drainage Strategies, and Drainage Design
12. Competent understanding of Hydraulic Modelling
13. Proficient in the use of MicroDrainage, AutoCAD, and other, similar software systems
14. Excellent written and verbal skills
15. Good literacy and numeracy skills, particularly when applied to report writing
16. A genuine interest in flood risk and drainage, and their importance in environmental and engineering projects
Desirable skills and experience for the role of Graduate Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer include:
17. Prior experience in a flood risk and/or drainage role
18. Good knowledge of the local area and surrounding region
19. Excellent working knowledge of a range of other software systems used within the flood risk, drainage, and hydrology sectors
