HR Advisor – 9 Month FTC (Potential to Go Permanent)
Pocklington
Hybrid (4 days on-site, 1 from home)
Up to £37,000 (flexible for the right person)
We’re partnering with a growing, values-led organisation in the care sector to find an experienced HR Advisor to join their team on a fixed-term basis, with strong potential to go permanent.
This is a hands-on, varied role where you’ll be at the heart of the business – supporting managers, driving best practice, and helping shape a positive, compliant and people-first culture.

The Role
You’ll act as the go-to for day-to-day HR support, covering everything from employee relations through to recruitment and HR admin.
Key areas include:
* Advising managers on HR processes, policies and best practice
* Supporting ER casework (disciplinary, grievance, absence)
* Managing HR admin – contracts, letters, records, data
* Supporting safer recruitment and onboarding processes
* Assisting with policy improvements and compliance
* Acting as first point of contact for HR queries across the business
It’s a true generalist role with a strong operational focus.
What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience in a HR Advisor or Senior HR Admin role
* Confident handling employee relations cases
* Strong knowledge of UK employment law
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced, people-focused environment
* Experience with HR systems (PeopleHR or similar ideal)
* Someone proactive, organised and approachable
Experience within care, education, or a regulated environment would be a bonus – but not essential.
