Salary £36,363 – £46,142 per annum. Fixed Term until November 2026. Full Time, 37 hours per week. Family Safeguarding – Children’s Social Care. Preston.

This is an experienced Children’s Social Worker role within the Family Safeguarding Team. The team provides domestic abuse officers, child and family practitioners and mental health practitioners. We are looking for someone who enjoys working in a fast‑paced environment and working as part of a multi‑agency team delivering interventions to children and families.
The role is a Fixed Term contract, initially until November 2026, subject to further funding.

Working in the Family Safeguarding Team: We help keep families together and achieve better outcomes for children and parents by engaging them in a collaborative approach. Our teams are multidisciplinary, use a Motivational Interviewing approach, and hold core Child in Need and Child Protection work.

Qualifications: Minimum of 12 months post‑qualification experience. Not suitable for newly qualified Social Workers or those undertaking ASYE.
