People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based at East Midlands Gateway, Derbyshire.
This is a fantastic opportunity offering competitive rates of pay, consistent Monday to Friday work, and the chance to secure a permanent position with a respected logistics company.
Shifts: Monday to Friday – Start times between 04:00 and 16:00
Pay Rates: £16.66 – £20.82 per hour

Rates of Pay
* 06:00 – 18:00: £16.66 per hour
* 18:00 – 06:00: £20.82 per hour
Day-to-Day Duties
* Safely and efficiently drive Category C+E vehicles, completing 3–5 trunk runs per day
* Operate curtain-sider trailers and secure all loads correctly (including awkward loads)
* Make timely deliveries to various destinations
* Communicate effectively with the transport team
* Follow company policies, procedures, and safety regulations
* Ensure compliance with all driving laws and working time directives
Essential Skills
* Valid UK Category C+E Licence
* Valid UK CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
* Minimum of six months' continuous experience driving Class 1 (C+E) vehicles
* Maximum of six penalty points for minor infringements (no major endorsement codes)
* Excellent communication and time management skills
* Professional and reliable attitude
Desirable Experience
* Previous experience securing and strapping abnormal loads
* Experience manoeuvring in tight delivery depots
Training Provided
* Driving assessment required prior to start
* Three-day company induction programme provided
* Full industry-related training and ongoing support throughout
