Bout the Role
An established and growing contractor within the commercial roofing and construction sector is seeking an experienced Commercial Roofing Project Manager to oversee multiple projects across the North West and Midlands regions.
This is a hybrid, field-based position requiring regular travel to live sites, client meetings, and supplier locations. The successful candidate will take full responsibility for delivering roofing projects safely, on time, within budget, and to a high standard of quality.
Role Overview
The Commercial Roofing Project Manager will manage projects from pre-start through to final handover. You will coordinate site teams, liaise with clients and subcontractors, monitor financial performance, and ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations.
This role suits a proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable managing multiple live projects simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee the full lifecycle of commercial roofing projects across multiple locations
* Manage site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project delivery
* Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, and compliance
* Develop and maintain project programmes, ensuring deadlines are achieved
* Manage project budgets, variations, and cost control
* Act as the main point of contact for clients and key stakeholders
* Identify and mitigate project risks and resolve on-site issues efficiently
* Ensure all works are carried out in line with health & safety legislation and company standards
* Provide progress reports and financial updates to senior management
* Coordinate materials, labour, and logistics to meet programme requirements
Skills & Experience Required
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in Project Management within commercial roofing or construction
* Strong knowledge of flat and pitched roofing systems (desirable)
* Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
* Experience in budget management and financial reporting
* Excellent leadership and team coordination skills
* Strong communication and client-facing abilities
* Highly organised with strong problem-solving skills
* Comfortable working both on-site and remotely
Qualifications
* Full UK Driving Licence (essential)
* SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) – essential
* CSCS Card (desirable)
* First Aid at Work (advantageous)
