If you’re a Sous Chef who loves quality, teamwork and exceptional Scottish seafood, this role offers something special. You’ll be joining a busy, well‑loved Restaurant & Oyster Bar where oysters are harvested metres from the door, the produce is outstanding, and the kitchen culture is built on pride, consistency and respect for ingredients.

And the best bit… daytime shifts only, no evening service, no split shifts — a schedule and lifestyle that lets you cook at a high level and enjoy life outside the kitchen.


What You’ll Be Doing

* Lead the kitchen alongside the Head Chef, ensuring smooth, organised and high‑quality service
* Prepare, cook and present dishes to company standards with consistency, flavour and food safety
* Support menu development, tastings, seasonal launches and collaboration with the Deli Team
* Coach and develop the kitchen team, supporting onboarding, training and strong FOH relationships
* Oversee stock control, ordering, portioning, waste reduction and cost awareness
* Maintain a clean, safe and compliant kitchen, supporting audits, allergen management and documentation


What We’re Looking For

* Experience as a Sous Chef or a strong Chef de Partie ready to step up
* Calm, organised service under pressure with great communication
* Strong understanding of food safety, allergens and modern kitchen practices
* A positive, team‑focused approach and high personal hygiene standards
* Seafood experience is a bonus — enthusiasm to learn is just as valuable

Pay & Recognition

* £16.50–£17 per hour depending on experience
* Customer tips averaging around £2 per hour
