About Allied Health services
Allied Health at Cabrini is a rapidly expanding and highly integrated service comprising twelve professional disciplines. The department plays a vital role in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care across the organisation.
Cabrini Allied Health offers a wide range of opportunities, including senior consultant and leadership roles, clinical stream positions, junior staff rotation and support programs, professional development and teaching opportunities, and the cultivation of strong external and university partnerships.
How you will make an impact:
As an Occupational Therapist Grade 1 at Cabrini Health, you will play a vital role in providing quality acute care and rehabilitation services to patients. Your expertise and dedication will contribute to improving the lives of patients in need.
You will work across a fully supportive environment with strong clinical leadership available. You will also have the opportunity for growth within the allied health team and the opportunity to work flexibly.
A full-time permanent position is on offer with rotation across Malvern and Brighton sites.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Conducting comprehensive assessments and developing individualized treatment plans for patients.
2. Implementing evidence-based therapeutic interventions to enhance patients' functional abilities.
3. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated care and optimal patient outcomes.
4. Monitoring and evaluating patients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
5. Providing education and support to patients and their families on strategies for independent living and self-management.
What we're looking for:
You will be highly motivated and possess excellent communication skills, a compassionate approach, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. you will also have the following:
6. Registration with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist
7. At least one year of occupational therapy experience or undergraduate experience in a hospital setting
8. Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team, both independently and in a structured environment
9. Commitment to quality clinical care, and sound clinical skills
10. Well-developed interpersonal & communication skills – written and verbal - with a strong client focus
