Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Lorry Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and efficiency while delivering goods to various locations. This role requires experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed vehicles, and a proven track record as a delivery driver. The successful applicant will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the integrity of our products during transport.
Responsibilities
* Operate flatbed lorries safely and efficiently, adhering to all road safety regulations.
* Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
* Load and unload cargo, ensuring that all items are secured properly for safe transport.
* Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required by company policies.
* Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
* Follow designated routes while being flexible to adapt to changes as necessary.
* Uphold high standards of customer service during interactions with clients at delivery locations.
Qualifications
* Valid HGV (Heavy Goods Vehicle) license with appropriate endorsements for flatbed driving.
* Proven experience as a commercial driver, preferably with flatbed lorries.
* Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices in transportation.
* Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
* Good physical fitness, capable of lifting heavy items as required during loading and unloading processes.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with team members and clients.
