Ashtead Technology are seeking a Logistics Coordinator to execute end-to-end logistics operations, supporting our ambitious global business activities. In this role, you will ensure the compliant, timely, and cost-effective movement of equipment and materials across both international and domestic channels.
As a vital link between internal stakeholders, freight providers, and clients, you'll manage import and export processes, handle critical documentation, and oversee mobilisation requirements for multiple global entities.
Day to day you'll be involved in:
* Maintaining regulatory compliance, operational readiness to enable successful delivery and return of equipment across the global supply chain.
* Facilitating seamless freight forwarding operations to support the business, both locally and internationally.
* Collaborating closely with haulers and freight forwarders to manage Out of Gauge (OOG) movements and ensure timely police notifications.
* Acting as the main point of contact in the yard, coordinating project loadouts and assisting with packing and securing of equipment to be loaded out.
* Key responsibilities on the day projects leaves site including uploading photographs of final load on truck(s) and signed delivery paperwork to the project folder and shipping the sales order in NetSuite.
* Coordinating the hiring of mobile cranes for efficient mobilizations, yard movements, and import returns.
* Partnering with the business to ensure the correct incoterms are established at the contract stage for smooth transactions.
* Maintaining clear communication with clients and their overseas agents prior to shipping to ensure export documentation is approved and delivery timelines are met.
What experience you'll bring:
* Previous experience in the freight industry, specifically dealing with air/sea/road freight
* Competent knowledge of Incoterms 2020
* Strong negotiation skills
* You have experience in UK customs formalities and producing & handling transit documentation
* Dangerous Goods; Air & Sea certifications
* B1 and B2 forklift experience also beneficial
