Contract Type: Term-Time Only
Responsibilities
* Provide tailored support to students with PMLD, including personal care and mobility assistance.
* Work closely with class teachers and the SEND team to implement individual education plans (IEPs).
* Use a range of communication methods (e.g., Makaton, PECS, AAC) to engage students.
* Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment.
* Support students during lessons, break times, and off-site activities.
Qualifications
* Experience working with children or young people with SEND, particularly PMLD.
* Understanding of sensory needs, physical disabilities, and complex medical conditions.
* A calm, empathetic, and resilient approach to supporting vulnerable learners.
* Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
* Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, CACHE, or equivalent) are desirable but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
