Your Role: As our Health & Safety Manager, you will play a pivotal role in:
* Conducting regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
* Reviewing site-specific risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) provided by contractors.
* Investigating incidents and near misses, generating detailed reports, and recommending corrective actions.
* Maintaining accurate records of inspections, incidents, and training.
* Liaising with site managers, subcontractors, and clients to foster a safe working environment.
* Assisting the H&S team with data collection, KPI tracking, and trend analysis.
* Delivering training sessions and presentations.
* Supporting the H&S team in updating documentation, policies, and procedures.
* Helping retain company accreditations, including ISO:45001, RoSPA, and SafeContractor SSIP.
What We're Looking For: To be successful in this role, you should possess:
* NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Health and Safety.
* Technical Membership of IOSH (Tech IOSH).
* SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme).
* First Aid at Work Certification.
* A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
* Up to 3 years of experience in the construction industry, ideally in interior fit-out projects.
Key Skills & Attributes:
* Strong understanding of UK health and safety legislation.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
* Confidence in engaging with site teams and senior management.
* A flexible approach, willing to work weekends and out-of-hours as needed.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products; experience with the Safety Culture (iAuditor) platform is a plus.
