We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Workers to join our team. Responsibilities
* Provide personal care and support to clients, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
* Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in health status.
* Assist with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition for clients.
* Support clients with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary.
* Engage in behaviour management techniques to support clients with cognitive impairments such as Alzheimer's or dementia.
* Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
* Foster a safe and supportive environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.
* Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required.
Experience
* Previous experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home care settings is highly desirable.
* Familiarity with Alzheimer's care, dementia care, hospice care, and senior care practices is beneficial.
* A background in nursing or caregiving is an advantage.
* First aid certification is preferred to ensure client safety during emergencies.
* Experience in childcare may also be considered valuable when working with families needing support.
