About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacovigilance Officer to provide essential drug safety support for IBSA UK. This part-time position plays a key role in maintaining compliance with UK regulatory standards and supporting the Local Person for Pharmacovigilance (LPPV).
You will act as the operational lead for UK pharmacovigilance activities, ensuring timely and accurate handling of safety data, maintaining documentation, and supporting inspection readiness. The role also includes occasional medical information responsibilities and collaboration across multiple teams.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist the LPPV in ensuring the UK PV system meets MHRA and EU GVP requirements.
* Manage day-to-day safety operations, including adverse event intake, triage, and quality checks.
* Maintain PV documentation, agreements, and compliance records.
* Support audits, inspections, and risk management activities.
* Liaise with internal teams (Legal, QA, Clinical, Commercial) to embed PV obligations in contracts.
* Provide basic PV training to colleagues and partners.
* Respond to routine medical information queries and escalate complex cases appropriately.
What We’re Looking For
* Degree in Life Sciences (Pharmacy, Pharmacology, Biomedical Sciences, Medicine, or similar).
* 1–3 years’ experience in pharmacovigilance or medical information (UK experience preferred).
* Knowledge of MHRA requirements, UK GVP Addendum, and EU GVP Modules.
* Familiarity with ABPI Code of Practice is advantageous.
* Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
