We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Band 5 Dietitian to join our Dietetic team. Whether you are due to qualify this summer or have recently qualified, this rotational post provides the chance to develop a broad base of dietetic skills across Community Hospitals, Primary Care, Mental Health, Paediatrics, and Prescribing. The role also offers the opportunity to undertake further training towards progression to a Band 6 position.
Our friendly, forward-thinking, and supportive team includes Dietitians, Dietetic Assistant Practitioners, Dietetic Support Workers, and administrative staff.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
We are seeking an enthusiastic, innovative, and proactive Dietitian with excellent clinical, communication, and team-working skills. The post will work across Leicester, Leicestershire, and Rutland to support:
* Community hospital wards
* Primary care clinics and home visits
* Mental health services
* Paediatrics
The role provides a broad range of clinical experience, including:
* General medicine
* Care of the elderly
* Outpatient clinics
* Mental health wards
There are additional opportunities to:
* Contribute to dietetic student training placements
* Deliver staff training and facilitate multi-disciplinary nutrition meetings
* Develop supervisory skills by supporting Dietetic Support Workers and student training
