Overview
Make a Real Impact Behind the Scenes of National Defence. Are you an organised, people-focused professional with a sharp eye for detail and a desire to support those who serve our country? This is more than just an admin job — as a Military HR Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in supporting UK Armed Forces personnel with their pay, allowances, and HR needs. Based at the Defence Academy in Shrivenham, you’ll be part of a tight-knit team working side-by-side with military colleagues to ensure the smooth running of vital HR processes that keep our military world-class.
Responsibilities
* Providing accurate, confidential HR and pay-related administrative support to military personnel
* Ensuring payroll and allowances are correctly processed and in line with MOD regulations
* Responding to pay and expense queries with professionalism and clarity
* Working across multiple systems and platforms to manage and maintain critical data
You’ll be given full training and ongoing mentorship, so while experience helps, the right attitude and aptitude are just as important.
What You’ll Bring
* A confident communicator (face-to-face, written and verbal)
* Highly organised and methodical, with great time management
* Known for delivering exceptional customer service
* A team player who can also work independently when needed
* Comfortable using Microsoft Office (especially Outlook, Excel and Word)
* Able to learn new systems and processes quickly
You’ll Need
* GCSEs (A–C) in English and Maths (or equivalent)
* The ability to pass a Security Check (SC) within 3 months (we’ll help with this)
