Location: Aylesford, Kent. Travel across multiple sites may be required and a current full driving licence is essential.

Hours: 38 hours
Salary: £27,496.64
Ideally you will be based in or around the surrounding areas of Kent. Southern Water offers structured hours with standby opportunities to enhance earnings.

You do not need a background in the Water industry. Applications from candidates outside the sector are welcome to bring fresh perspectives. This role focuses on compliance, technical problem solving, repairing and maintenance.

Responsibilities
* Compliance testing.
* Maintenance tasks such as unblocking pumps, screens and valves to ensure continuous plant operation.
* Repair of alarm systems.
* Monitoring, collating and reporting data to ensure statutory and regulatory compliance.
* Fault finding and problem-solving to respond to breakdowns.
* Site hygiene in line with regulatory obligations.
* Using IT systems to log maintenance tasks and field activities, ensuring safety and regulatory standards are met.
You will be
* Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
* Willing to work within the company rota of a 7-day working week and participate in a standby rota.
* A team player who understands how individual work contributes to Southern Water’s mission.
* Adaptable, flexible, reliable and self-motivated.
* Good with time management and able to work effectively on your own.
* Keen to learn and operate complex processes with high quality controls.
Qualifications
* GCSEs grade 3 including Maths, English and Science
* Valid UK Manual Driving Licence
