Location: Post 1 – Normanton Library. Post 2 – Allestree, Mackworth and Springwood Libraries
Hours: Post 1 – 18.5 hours. Post 2 – 26 hours

Responsibilities
* Ensure the efficient and effective operation of libraries
* Work closely with colleagues including direct reports, volunteers, senior managers and Councillors to deliver a high quality, professional service
* Support and deliver key projects and initiatives that help drive service improvement
* Ensure libraries are well run, well presented, safe, and welcoming to all
About You
* Minimum Grade C GCSE Maths & English or equivalent
* ECDL Level 1 or equivalent IT qualification, and experience of using IT on a daily basis
* Understanding of public library work
* Experience of working with people of all ages and from all backgrounds
* Experience of recruiting, managing, monitoring and motivating a team of staff and volunteers
* The skills to deal effectively with difficult people and confrontational situations
* Enthusiasm for reading, and the ability to promote the benefits of reading within the local community
