Are you a passionate and resilient primary-trained teacher looking to make a real difference in the lives of young people? We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Primary Teacher to deliver targeted interventions to Key Stage 3 pupils within the Resource Centre at a Sefton based supportive and nurturing Pupil Referral Unit.
About the Role:
You will work with small groups or individual students, many of whom have experienced barriers to learning and require a tailored approach to access the curriculum. Using your primary teaching skills, you will help bridge gaps in literacy, numeracy, and emotional development, enabling students to re-engage with education in a structured and supportive environment.
Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging interventions based on individual student needs.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Work closely with SEN staff, behaviour support teams, and external agencies.
Monitor, assess, and report on progress effectively.
Support pupil's social and emotional development alongside their academic progress.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
Be a qualified teacher with QTS, preferably primary trained.
Have experience working with pupils with SEMH, SEND, or those at risk of exclusion.
Be patient, empathetic, and adaptable in their teaching approach.
Have strong behaviour management and excellent communication skills.
Be committed to helping every child succeed, regardless of their background.
