WE’RE LOOKING FOR A SPARKY, ORGANISED, DETAILED EVENTS MANAGER WITH A WONDERFULLY BIG HEART TO JOIN US AT DISHOOM. We’re looking for an enthusiastic, organised and resourceful Events Manager to join the marketing and comms team at Dishoom. The function is responsible for delivering internal events for Dishoom employees and brand experiences for our guests, in-cafe and out of home, all with community at their heart. You’ll report into the Senior Events Manager - working in a team of two. About the Role No two weeks are the same for the Events team at Dishoom. Whilst primarily based in our Shoreditch Head Office, this role is suitable for someone comfortable with a varying schedule; from site visits to time at the storage unit, visiting suppliers or onsite at events, you’ll be happy to travel around London (and sometimes further afield) throughout the week. A typical, non-event week consists of four office/flexible days and one working from home, although this can vary. Delivery of the Dishoom calendar of events calendar, from intimate experiences to large scale green-field activations Working closely with the Dishoom marketing team to execute an annual programme of events that supports the overall strategy Working alongside the wider marketing team to support on in-cafe and regional events Liaising with the Dishoom operational team on events requirements - especially food and drink offering Managing various aspects associated with external and team events, such as site visits, venue research, production schedules, health and safety documentation, and logistics Be a key contact for suppliers and stakeholders in your project areas, managing relationships, sourcing quotes, negotiating contracts, ensuring advance work meets project deadlines and managing delivery onsite Working within the team to prepare pitch decks and post-event evaluations Cross-working with the wider marketing team; briefing Creative on asset requirements, working with Partnerships to source talent and CX to build the guests digital journey. Preparing invoices and logging payment and processing, helping all events stay on budget Manage the events storage facility, including equipment inventory, ordering and distribution Being ‘hands on’ at events - solving problems as they arrive, making sure running orders are clear and tight, and delivering from set up to finish About you Ideally 5year’s events experience, ideally within food/drink/hospitality industry Previous experience of managing a broad range of events including pop-up street food style events, festivals, product launches and seated dinners. Passionate about creating incredible guest experiences, with a consideration for every touchpoint Excellent planning & management – able to prioritise deadlines and work effectively to timelines Experience of managing budgets, invoices and quotes Ability to handle several projects simultaneously and stay cool under pressure Methodical, organised, with a keen eye for detail Strong command of English with a high level of interpersonal, written & verbal communication skills Comfortable and confident managing both internal and external stakeholders Practical, level-headed, and hands-on approach to problem-solving Excellent computer skills – especially PowerPoint, Excel and GSuite Someone with creative flair for design and event décor Big hearted, helpful and able to be part of a team - a great collaborator A knowledge of South Asian history and culture would be beneficial - or a willingness to learn if there’s little prior knowledge Benefits We deeply care about making Dishoom an excellent place to work.
