We have an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to join the East and North Herts Podiatry Team as a Podiatry Assistant.
The successful candidate will work within East and North Herts, providing footcare to a dedicated caseload of patients referred by a podiatrist. They will also assist podiatrists in multi-disciplinary foot clinics and during nail surgery.
The service is delivered across Community Clinics, Health Centres, and Acute and Community Hospital Sites. The successful candidate will be expected to work at various agreed clinical sites within East and North Hertfordshire.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide footcare to a delegated caseload.
* Implement individualized treatment programs for patients living within East and North Hertfordshire that meet service access criteria but do not require podiatry treatment.
* Ensure the smooth running of multidisciplinary clinics and ward rounds.
* Assist during nail surgery.
* Provide education to patients and carers to support treatment adherence and self-care.
* Perform administrative duties such as completing clinical records, monitoring, stock management, and recording patient feedback via comment cards and surveys.
The successful candidate may be supported to complete the Senior Healthcare Support Worker Level 3 apprenticeship program if appropriate.
