A business based in Bridlington is currently recruiting for a Finance Assistant to join their busy Finance Team. The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of up to £26,000, based on experience and qualifications, along with attractive working hours of 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The role offers a modern office environment and free on-site parking.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, key responsibilities of the Finance Assistant include:

1. Managing a portfolio of accounts, proactively chasing and collecting outstanding debts
2. Producing weekly aged debtor reports with analysis of outstanding debts
3. Building relationships with key contacts
4. Reconciliation of Local Authority accounts, investigating and resolving queries
5. Bank reconciliations
6. Maintaining accurate resident records
7. Performing other ad hoc duties as required

We are keen to speak with individuals currently working in high-volume Purchase Ledger, Accounts Payable, Sales Ledger, or Accounts Receivable roles who are seeking a new opportunity.

To succeed in this Finance Assistant role, you should:

1. Have previous experience in a similar finance position within a busy Finance Team
2. Be IT literate with excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly MS Excel
3. Possess strong attention to detail and the ability to meet strict deadlines
4. Have knowledge of accounting software such as Xero, Sage, etc., with the ability to learn new systems quickly

This role is easily accessible by car from Scarborough, Filey, Driffield, Bridlington, Beverley, and surrounding areas, with free on-site parking. It is also accessible via public transport.
