Clinical Negligence - Team Leader / Senior Solicitor - Manchester - Hybrid
About the Job
An outstanding opportunity has arisen to join a prestigious Top 100 law firm with a national presence, based in Manchester city centre. As the Medical Negligence department expands, the firm seeks an experienced Solicitor / Lawyer who is ready to step up into a Team Leader position.
In this role, you’ll manage a small caseload, handling cases from initial client instruction through to completion alongside managing a team of Fee Earners and Solicitor. You will also deal with all aspects of supervision, including reporting into the Head of Medical Negligence, managing KPIs and offering full support to the team with 1-2-1 meetings.
The ideal candidate will have experience in managing a complex caseload of Clinical Negligence claims and be familiar with all aspects of litigation. Previous supervisory experience is highly desirable.
The Candidate
* Clinical Negligence Solicitor / Chartered Legal Executive (5+ years PQE)
* Experience of managing own caseload of Clinical Negligence claims
* Litigation experience is essential and knowledge of the Damages Claims Portal (DCP)
* Experience of managing / supervising a team along with reporting, KPIs
* Prioritise and manage a varied caseload
* Strong legal and leadership skills with an eye for detail
* Excellent organisation and time-management skills
* Excellent client care skills
