Offer description

Philanthropy Manager

Part time, 21 hours per week over 3 days. Home-based with frequent travel to supporter locations; occasional travel to Leamington Spa Head Office. £36,000-£40,000 per annum (FTE).

The Philanthropy Manager will manage and grow a portfolio of dedicated major donors, developing inspiring, personalised supporter journeys that deepen engagement and secure repeat and increased gifts. Working within a committed and supportive team, you'll raise awareness of the Charity's services, build mutually beneficial relationships, and deliver sustainable long‑term support through thoughtful cultivation, compelling proposals, and excellent stewardship.

Reporting to the Head of Fundraising and working closely with the Individual Giving Manager and wider fundraising colleagues, you will proactively identify and research prospects, plan targeted approaches, and lead solicitations. The role will also engage with senior church contacts (e.g. Archbishops and diocesan representatives) who have a history of support; while the Charity is non‑religious and non‑political, you'll bring sensitivity and confidence operating within these settings to advance shared philanthropic goals.

Key responsibilities

* Identify, research, and engage major donor prospects, building long‑term relationships and securing repeat gifts
* Craft and present persuasive cases for support, tailoring engagement for diverse audiences
* Manage donor pipelines from identification to stewardship, ensuring accurate stewardship records and timely follow‑up
* Collaborate with fundraising colleagues to develop integrated fundraising strategies and support overall fundraising targets
* Represent the Charity with professionalism and confidence in senior church settings, advancing shared philanthropic goals

Qualifications

* Strong track record of securing four‑ and five‑figure gifts, with proven ability to craft persuasive cases for support
* Excellent written and verbal communication, with rigorous research skills and ability to tailor engagement for diverse audiences
* Collaborative relationship‑builder with ability to work effectively across teams and with senior stakeholders
* Passion for the Charity's values and a client‑centred ethos, with commitment to philanthropy and community impact

We welcome candidates to apply regardless of age, sex/gender, disability, race, religion, sexual orientation, marital status or pregnancy/maternity. If you have a disability and require reasonable adjustment/s to any part of the process, please contact Femke Vorstman at Prospectus.
