Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to help deliver our regulatory responsibilities, placed on us as the Enforcement Authority for the Reservoirs Act 1975 in England. The Reservoirs Act helps to ensure the safe operation and management of dams.
As an officer in the Compliance and Monitoring team, part of the Reservoir Regulation team, you will be responsible for monitoring compliance with the Reservoirs Act 1975 for the 2140 reservoirs in England.
Responsibilities
* Manage day-to-day correspondence
* Record incoming documentation on our database to ensure that our records are accurate and up to date
* Encourage compliance when reports or certificates are not received as expected
* Be the first point of contact for reservoir owners and panel engineers
* Provide information and advice on the requirements of the Act

The Reservoir Regulation team is part of the Environmental Assessment and Reservoir Regulation department, within the Flood & Coastal Risk Management (FCRM) Directorate. The team comprises 25+ experienced professionals and is nationally dispersed across the country; some travel and overnight stays will be required.

This is a part-time job share (22.2 hours per week). This a national role so you can be based at any Environment Agency office. Training and incident response duties are required as part of working for the Environment Agency. Further information on incident response can be found within your candidate pack.
