Job Description
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in managing site from inception to completion, effectively manage budgets & costs for multiple sites and the preparation of accurate monthly site valuations (CVR’s).
Duties:
* Analyse sub-contractor invoices/applications
* Monthly sub-contractor payments
* Prepare monthly cost / value reconciliations
* Prepare sub-contractor procurement tender list for sign off by QSM & Operations /Production Directors
* Prepare tender documents/packs and send out to the relevant sub-contractors
* Analyse tenders upon return
* Undertake tender analysis by evaluating tenders and comparing the prices against each other, previous developments and the site budget
* Carry out pre-order meetings with sub-contractors
* Issue sub-contractor purchase orders upon completion of the pre-order meeting
* Maintain Stock and progress sheets for sites. Critically analysing stock with site teams to ensure waste and loss at a minimum.
* Maintain accurate cost to completes across the CVRs with analysis each month to back up CVR.
Experience:
* Previous experience of Eque 2 Housebuilding or COINS software is desirable
* Bsc Hons in Quantity Surveying or Construction related degree
* Ideally a Member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors or CIOB
* Prince 2 qualification desirable
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Hold a valid and appropriate CSCS card or commit to obtaining one
* Previous experience in a similar position working on residential projects
* Must be self-motivated and very organised with the ability to operate efficiently with minimal supervision
