This role will be instrumental in orchestrating and implementing robust Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) auditing processes that align with national and international standards. The role involves conducting comprehensive audits to evaluate the effectiveness and compliance of processes, systems,and products with established quality standards and regulatory requirements. This includes a meticulous review of documentation and an assessment of the implementation of policies and procedures. By liaising with Principal Contractors, the job holder will ensure that Project Safety, Quality, and Environmental Plans are prepared and executed in accordance with HBNL policies and standards.
In addition, the successful candidate will support in-depth accident and incident investigations, aiming to establish root causes and provide strategic advice and guidance,sharing lessons learned across the organisation. They will also conduct detailed Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality (SHEQ) audits of both internal operations and contractor activities. Their efforts will be crucial in maintaining an environment of continuous improvement and compliance across all business functions,thereby fostering a culture of excellence and proactive risk management. Through a commitment to transparency and rigorous evaluation, the role holder will drive the organisation towards meeting its compliance and safety objectives, ensuring that quality assurance is embedded into the fabric of our operations.
Key responsibilities
* Carry out compliance audits across Quality, Safety, Health and Environment functions.
* Working closely with key stakeholders to drive Safety, Health, Environment and Quality best practices and support business objectives.
* Engaging regularly with field teams to gather feedback, drive initiatives and assess behaviours.
* Support the implementation of an Integrated Management System, meeting the requirements of ISO45001; ISO9001; ISO14001, other relevant standards and industry best practice.
* Support the continual development and review of SHEQ processes and requirements in line with current legislation and industry best practice.
* Ensure corrective actions are implemented in a timely manner, reviewing the effectiveness of these actions as part of the continual improvement process.
To succeed you will need
We are looking for a skilled QHSE professional who can drive a positive quality culture.
* Proven field based experience in QHSE auditing ideally within a construction or industrial environment
* Clear communication skills both written and verbal
* Relationship management to work with stakeholders across the business and with contractors
* Highly organised with strong attention to detail
* Good industry awareness with a focus on continuous improvement to meet and maintain the highest standards.
* Valid Drivers licence for the UK is essential
* Eligibility to work in the UK
