Health & Safety Advisor, Site-based – Infrastructure project (A9 Perth), Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm, £25.00 - £35.00 per hour DOE, Full-time, Contract Benefits: * Company pension scheme * Income protection * Death in service benefit * Comprehensive training and professional development Responsibilities: * Advise site management on day-to-day health and safety matters. * Work closely with the project team to promote a proactive safety culture. * Support the management and implementation of the ISO 45001 Safety Management System. * Coordinate the completion of safety paperwork by supervisors, including briefings and inspections. * Conduct daily and weekly site inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards. * Deliver toolbox talks covering health, safety, and wellbeing topics. * Attend and chair safety meetings as required. * Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and share lessons learned with the team. * Ensure compliance with UK Health & Safety legislation, CDM regulations, and client standards. * Review documentation such as method statements to ensure appropriate health and safety content. * Engage directly with the workforce to promote best practice and safe working behaviours. * Monitor and report health and safety performance to the project Health & Safety Manager. * Support health and wellbeing campaigns and initiatives across the project. Requirements: * Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Health & Safety advisory role within construction, civil engineering, roads, or infrastructure projects. * Recognised Health & Safety qualification. * Valid CSCS Card. * Full UK driving licence. * Strong written and verbal communication skills with a high standard of written English. * Good IT skills including Email, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. * Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with site teams. * Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines. * Willingness to challenge unsafe conditions or breaches when necessary
