As a Catering Unit Manager, you'll work term-time only, during school hours—giving you the work-life balance you've been looking for. What you'll do:
1. Oversee food preparation and cooking, ensuring compliance with nutritional standards and dietary needs.
2. Deliver excellent customer service and build relationships with school staff.
3. Supervise kitchen operations, including setup, cleaning, and hygiene standards.
4. Manage administration tasks like budgeting, ordering, stock control, and cash handling.
5. Recruit, train, and lead staff, promoting teamwork and safety.
You will be required to undertake mandatory training on commencement and every 3 years in Food Safety, Allergen Awareness, and Health & Safety Manual Handling.
What we're looking for:
* Experience in a catering environment
* NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification or C&G 7061/2
* Level 2 Food Safety certification
* Proven leadership skills
* Strong organizational and time management skills
* Positive attitude and motivational ability
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
* Physical ability to perform all role aspects
* Comfort in hot kitchen conditions
