Job Description
Burkentine is growing, and we are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for resolving maintenance issues related to HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and appliance repair.
Responsibilities:
1. Preparing vacant apartments for move-in through turn-over repairs and improvements.
2. Resolving maintenance issues in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and appliance repair.
3. Maintaining the building's appearance and community safety through general upkeep, snow removal, and grounds maintenance.
4. Providing outstanding customer service.
5. Working weekends or evenings and being on call for after-hours emergencies, including snow removal.
Qualifications:
* High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
* Experience in building maintenance or related education in trades.
* Beginner to intermediate proficiency in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance repair.
* HVAC certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days of hire.
* Availability for emergency situations, including participation in an on-call rotation.
* Ability to exert 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and 10 to 20 pounds constantly.
* Reliable personal transportation for work and emergency response.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Service-oriented attitude and eagerness to learn.
